The same as South Dakota and yet different somehow. More northern in some way …

The gas was old school … full service option, restaurant attached, there were showers for the truckers (Colleen reports that the showers were empty – she checked stalls .. twice.) and even something I’ll be you haven’t seen at a gas station in years and years … customer service. Real live customer service – people smiling, enjoying their job, helpful, keeping the place clean and I swear they were laughing (and no – not at us!).

In some ways that was even more surprising than the elk head for sale on the wall ($10,000 if you’re interested. Just a note: you’ll need a bigger car than ours .. this was a big ass elk!).
