Indiana: Closed for Construction
June 7, 2010 No CommentsIt started with an hour in stop and go traffic. Stop as in complete, turn off the engine, roll down the windows and meet your neighbor stop. Go as in “Yay! 20 mph! … oh, slow down … slow … yeah, may as well turn off the engine.”
After we passed the steamrollers rolling down new asphalt we relaxed with just the fluffy clouds on the horizon. Until the orange cones showed up again. Orange cones, orange flags, guys in yellow vests …
If you’re thinking about traveling in Indiana, heading south, just be aware that currently the entire state is under construction. Nothing major, just a little nip/tuck it looks like. And I’m sure it will look fresher and at least 10 years younger when they’re done. But it’s at that ugly phase right now and trust us when we tell you you’d rather not see it .
